Producing and Project Development

From conceptualization through production to distribution, we can assist in all aspects of long and short form media production and for a wide range of audiences. We are skilled in constructing synopses, treatments, and documentary scripts as well as project management including, fundraising, project timelines, budgeting, production scheduling, and consultation on appropriate distribution outlets.

Directing and Field Production

We have extensive experience in all matters of documentary field production such as script breakdown, shot lists, shooting schedules, selecting crew and equipment, scouting, conducting on-camera interviews, directing subjects, and shot composition for maximum impact on story and structure.

Editing and Post-Production

De Facto Fiction Films owns a professional non-linear editing suite with Final Cut Studio and Adobe Production Premium CS4, AJA Kona card and Matrox MXO breakout box, Sony 16:9 switchable NTSC Monitors, and over 20 TB of media storage for both off-line and on-line purposes in standard and high definition.

In addition, we have knowledge of creating and preparing EDLs and post production elements for out-of-house high-definition Smoke, AVID, or Final Cut Pro on-line sessions, HD graphics, 5.1 surround mix and audio sweetening.
